Performance upgrades for a tecumseh 6.5 hp engine.?

I have a tecumseh ohh65 engine(6.5 hp powersport) on my go kart. I'm looking for some upgrades that aren't too expensive(under $100) or too hard to do(i'm not to good with working on small engines). I was thinking about a new muffler and a upgraded air intake system, but i don't know where to buy parts of how to work with them. So........thanks for the help!

the exhaust can be modified by taking the muffler off goint to a hardwair store and having them match the pipe threads and using steel pipe pieces and a volkswagen beetle muffler. the air intake may work with some rubber hose, some clamps and a chevy breather filter , it would resemble the design for honda's etc.. if you have a chain driven model and the sprocket can be removed you could look into a smaller sprocket to give you faster pedal response.
