why do people hate tecumseh engines?

Tecumseh engines have been around a long time and it is a fine running engine. It has been call finicky by unknowledgeable people, but service techs know that when adjusted properly, it will out run most engines.

The people who don't like these engines are probably people who don't take proper care of them. They probably don't take care of their cars either and blame the car maker for all the problems they have.
